Don't Believe In Ghosts - Makes No Difference: A Journey of Perseverance and Triumph

As the world slowly emerges from the pandemic that brought it to a standstill, music continues to evolve and inspire. Hailing from New York City, the indie pop band Don't Believe In Ghosts is a perfect example of that unstoppable spirit. With a fresh new single titled "Makes No Difference," the band is set to embark on a year-long tour showcasing their unique blend of talent and resilience.

The single "Makes No Difference" is an anthem about finding it harder to play along with the expectations and pressures of life. With a powerful chorus that hits the 39-second mark, the song showcases a striking blend of musical talent and honest emotion. Mixed by the renowned Mark Needham (known for his work with The Killers, Imagine Dragons, and Walk The Moon) and mastered by Stephen Marcussen, the track promises to captivate listeners both new and old.

The journey of Don't Believe In Ghosts has been one of resilience and perseverance. Formed in 2017 by singer/producer and writer Steven Nathan, the band consists of Dan DelVecchio on guitar, Alex Goumas on bass, and Ken Yang on drums. Their eclectic New York City sound quickly garnered attention, and by 2020, the band was poised for a breakout year. Unfortunately, the world had other plans, as the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to their touring just as their single "Living Like This" began to gain traction on radio.

The band faced immense personal loss during this time, as Steven Nathan's brother, Robert Nathan, tragically passed away from COVID-19. However, Don't Believe In Ghosts didn't let these hardships deter them. In the spring of 2021, they signed with Imagen Records and released their debut label album, "Solutions," on May 14th.

Don't Believe In Ghosts has already achieved significant milestones in its relatively short career. They are currently featured in the Apple TV+ show "We Crashed," where they performed live in a scene, and their song "Put Your Head Back" is featured on the official soundtrack. Their music has also been used in various TV shows like "Ink Master" and the "U.S. Open." The band's single "Don’t Wake Me Up" was a major success, with over one million retail and radio plays, and a music video featuring comedian Gilbert Gottfried.

The band's name, Don't Believe In Ghosts, embodies their philosophy of not giving energy to the ghosts of the past. As Steven Nathan explains, worrying about other people's opinions can be draining and debilitating. With their music, the band aims to amplify this theme and empower listeners to embrace their authentic selves.

As Don't Believe In Ghosts gear up for their spring and summer tour supporting "Makes No Difference," fans can look forward to an immersive experience that combines their signature sound with the raw emotion that has shaped their journey. This resilient band, forged in the heart of New York City, is a testament to the power of music and the unbreakable human spirit.
