Hey music fam, if you’re craving that perfect late-night electronic fix where the dancefloor pulses but your heart gets pulled in too, stop scrolling. Czech twin duo Bratři just teamed up with Italian-Copenhagen producer Rome in Reverse on a brand new single called Closer – and it’s pure fire for anyone into electronica, electro, and breakbeat with real soul.
The track fuses techno and house grooves with warm analog textures and an emotional atmosphere that feels both modern and deeply human. It’s the kind of release that hits the club hard but lingers long after the lights come up. And guess what? There’s a killer B-side called Mopho that flips the script – darker, more straightforward energy that doubles down on the hypnotic drive. Both tracks showcase a fresh, confident vision of contemporary electronic music that balances raw club energy with genuine emotional depth.
Bratři are twin brothers Jiří and Ondřej Veselý from Prague. Since launching their project around 2016, they’ve built a name for themselves with live performances that feel alive and breathing. Jiří brings the fire with live percussion and drum beats, while Ondřej layers in catchy melodic motives and sequences using analog and modular synthesizers. Their sound sits right at the sweet spot between catchy electronic dance and proper techno – think hypnotic grooves you can move to, but with that extra organic edge that sets them apart from pure laptop sets.
They’ve already racked up serious cred: showcases at Nouvelle Prague, BUSH, MENT, and ESNS, plus a nomination for the prestigious Music Moves Europe Talent Award in 2021. Their debut album Two Minds (produced with Hannes Bieger) dropped in 2021 and showed the world what these twins could do when they lock in together.
The collaboration with Rome in Reverse (real name Antonella Pacifico) happened naturally after they met at the Amsterdam Dance Event. What started as a planned house track evolved into something richer – exactly why collaborations rule. Rome in Reverse brings her signature cinematic electronics: a mix of ambient, downtempo, and trance-techno elements, plus those lush vocal samples that add real dynamic tension to “Closer.” She’s no stranger to the Czech scene either – she’s performed in Prague before and vibes hard with the local love for experimentation and emotional honesty.
As Rome herself put it, she was fascinated by how Bratři’s rhythmic energy and analog textures clicked with her sounds, creating something that feels both driving and deeply moving. The result? A modern, self-assured single that beautifully connects the Czech and Italian electronic scenes. Bratři are proving once again why they’re one of the most prominent names in contemporary domestic production.
And there’s more to celebrate! The duo is marking ten years on stage with a special anniversary concert on November 11, 2026 at Roxy in Prague. Expect the best tracks, a unique audiovisual show, live drums, synths, guest appearances (including Rome in Reverse), and one proper hypnotic party. If you’re anywhere near Prague, this is the electronic event of the year – don’t sleep on it.
In 2026, the electronic scene keeps rewarding artists who blend club functionality with real feeling, and “Closer” nails that balance. Melodic techno and emotional house are still riding high, but tracks like this show how fresh analog warmth and cross-border chemistry can push things forward without losing the dancefloor appeal.
