UK Garage is having a loud 2026. OOTORO comes out of Jakarta with a catalog that already stretches across disco-tinged tech house, groovy bass house, and floor-stomping disco. Tracks like “Beat Like This” with Bleu Clair on STMPD, “Just Like,” and “All I Need” on Night Bass and House Views put him on radar early. Club tools such as “Fishy,” “Warehouse,” and “Hit Em” on noir sur blanc and Terminal Underground showed he could write weapons as well as singles. Support from DJ Snake, Tchami, Malaa, AC Slater, and Martin Garrix followed, and so did US dates, a headline in Denver, and a growing run on NIGHTMODE that includes “PARTY” with Darby, the CULT CHROME EP, “CHANEL,” and “SHAKE UP.”
“My Mind” is him deliberately leaving the comfort zone. In his own words: he had been into the grooves and percussion of afro house and wanted to see what happened if those elements got pushed into the heavier, more chaotic side of bass music. The experiment was about letting the track become whatever it wanted to be. Submitted as UK Garage, that description lines up with where the genre sits right now: not just skippy two-step nostalgia, but mid-range bite, rolling low end, and percussion that feels restless instead of polite.
That mix makes sense for someone who has always treated house as a meeting point. Disco swing, hard bass, and garage shuffle have all shown up in his work. NIGHTMODE has been a consistent home for that hybrid, and 2026 already looks like a busy year for him. “My Mind” arrives as another single in a run that keeps testing how far he can pull bass music toward groove without losing the hit.
