Iman Deeper and Messier Unite on Cinematic Melodic Techno Cut "Cohesion Code"

From secret house music sessions in Tehran to the clubs of Berlin, Iman Deeper's journey reads like a film script. So it makes sense that "Cohesion Code" sounds so cinematic. Made with Messier and featuring EZEK, it's a melodic techno track built for late-night club sets, with an emotional lead that sticks with you long after it ends.

Who Is Iman Deeper?

Iman Deeper is a Berlin-based DJ and producer who has been releasing music for around 15 years. His love of house music began in secret. Growing up in Tehran, where producing and performing non-traditional music had to stay underground, he eventually left Iran to find his place in the musical world.

His path took him to Rome, where he honed his skills and performed under the name La Roca, before he moved to Berlin, the city of house and techno. He has played venues all across Germany, including Sisyphos and Ritter Butzke according to his label's website, and has composed music for clients like Audi Deutschland and Vice Magazine. In 2021 he launched his own label, Deed Music, as a home for his own work and for a community of up-and-coming electronic artists. He's also its artist and label manager.

A Cohesive Collaboration

For "Cohesion Code", Iman Deeper teamed up with Messier, a US-based DJ and producer in progressive house and melodic techno. It's Messier's debut on Deed Music, and the two are joined by EZEK, whose sound design adds an extra layer to the track. The title fits nicely: three artists, one coherent vision.

The Sound: Progressive Builds and a Pulsing Bassline

This is an instrumental, so the production takes the spotlight. "Cohesion Code" combines progressive builds, a pulsing bassline and cinematic synth work, all driven by an emotional melodic lead. At 126 BPM and more than seven minutes long, it's made to unfold slowly in a DJ set, giving the tension time to build before the melody really opens up.

It's the kind of track that sits perfectly in the middle of a set, when the crowd is warmed up and ready for something that feels big but still deep. The balance between drive and emotion is what makes it work.

Melodic Techno's Emotional Power

Melodic house and techno remain one of the most popular corners of electronic music, and Berlin is still one of its key cities. The genre's strength is its emotional storytelling: long builds, rich atmospheres and leads that hit you right in the chest. "Cohesion Code" fits that perfectly, and it's a great showcase for what Deed Music is about.

"Cohesion Code" was released on February 14th, 2025 via Deed Music.
