MUZ "SPACEWALK": A UK Garage and Bass House Trip to the Moon

0

Ever wondered what a rave on the moon would sound like? MUZ has a pretty convincing answer. His new track "SPACEWALK" mixes UK garage and bass house into something trippy, high-energy and strangely weightless, and it's the kind of tune that makes you want to float straight onto the dancefloor.

Who Is MUZ?

MUZ is the electronic music project of Muzammil Syed, a producer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. His sound blends bass house, UKG and disco, and he draws inspiration from nature, nostalgia and those fleeting moments that make life feel cinematic. Around his home turf he's known as North Carolina's Undisputed Heavyweight Disco King, and he brings high-energy performances to stages across the region. His mission is refreshingly simple: every song is made to get people dancing.

A Festival Stage on the Moon

That's exactly the picture MUZ had in mind with "SPACEWALK". The idea was to make something that feels like stepping onto a festival stage on the moon: massive sound, low gravity, and a crowd completely lost in the moment. And honestly, it works.

The track is built around warped LFO basslines that wobble and twist under punchy, driving drums, giving it that classic speed garage swing with a bass house punch. What makes it stand out is the unexpected twist on top: an ethereal acoustic guitar performance that slowly builds the song up. It's not something you hear every day in a UK garage track, and it gives "SPACEWALK" a futuristic, almost dreamy atmosphere that balances out the heavy low end.

As an instrumental, it lets the production do all the talking. The groove keeps rolling, the bass keeps morphing, and the guitar adds just enough melody to keep you hooked from start to finish.

UK Garage Keeps Crossing Borders

UK garage and speed garage have been enjoying a huge revival over the past few years, and the sound has spread far beyond the UK. Producers all over the world are mixing that shuffling garage rhythm with bass house and other club styles, and "SPACEWALK" is a great example of an American producer putting his own spin on it. If you love bass-heavy garage with a bit of a twist, this one deserves a spot on your playlist.

"SPACEWALK" was released on October 9th, 2026 via Blue Ridge Studios.
