MVSE, pronounced mūse, is Martin Nguyen: DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who grew up between the Bay Area and LA. West Coast feel-good energy sits next to a real love of bass-heavy music, which is why his records often start acoustic and end huge. He has said the point is to take listeners on a journey, folding guitars and other live-feeling textures into the kind of melodic drop that future bass and melodic dubstep fans still crave. You can hear that same instinct on earlier work like “Rise” with Casey Cook and the Lost In Dreams cut “Moments” with Hoang and RYNN. “It’s You” just makes the emotional part the center of the room.
Stefan PVDS handles the vocal, and MVSE’s own note on the track is the right one: dreamy singing, strong melody, instant singalong. The arrangement moves from those acoustic-leaning verses into the signature fulfilling drop instead of slamming the door on the first chorus. Future bass in 2026 still lives on that contrast: space and sparkle up front, then modulated synths, sidechained warmth, and a low end that bounces instead of crushing. “It’s You” stays in that lane. It does not try to reinvent the genre. It just writes a better hook inside it.
