London-born, Lausanne-based DJ and producer Reber is back with "Desires Ignite," released on October 16, 2026 through Dialed Records. The radio edit runs just under four minutes, and Reber calls it "probably the clearest expression of my current sound." Tagged as tech house and minimal house, with energetic and sexy moods, it is a track made with the dance floor in mind.
A Dancefloor Cut, in Reber's Words
Reber describes "Desires Ignite" as a "direct, dancefloor-focused house cut," built around a catchy 90s organ hook, a weighty bassline and his own vocals. The same description sums up where his music is right now: "stripped-back, groovy and straight to the point," as he puts it, while still keeping a melodic and personal edge.
The genre tags fit that picture. Minimal house is about restraint, with fewer elements and more room for the groove, while tech house brings a steady, rolling drive. The energetic and sexy moods attached to the release point to a late-night club rather than a quiet afternoon session.
Road-Tested Before Release
Reber says the track has already been road-tested by Marco Carola, Rossi. and East End Dubs. The East End Dubs link goes back further, since Reber has also remixed East End Dubs' "What's Goin On." For a stripped-back house record, that kind of support from working DJs counts for a lot, because these tracks live or die in the booth.
The home for the release makes sense too. Dialed Records describes itself as a West Coast independent record label "focused on forward thinking minimal house music," and "Desires Ignite" fits right into that lane.
About Reber
Reber was born in London and is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. His music draws on deep house, UK garage, tech house, jungle and minimal, with bold basslines, syncopated beats and self-recorded vocals at the center. He started out in a DJ duo in 2008 and went solo in 2013.
His remixes for Fantastic Friends and of Tim Green's "Scar" led to a debut EP on Disc Over Music, which was supported by Joris Voorn, Claptone and Claude VonStroke. "Watermelon," made with Nicolas Duvoisin and released on Yoyaku's Splitools series, passed 110,000 Shazams. After the pandemic, Reber released EPs on Tip Tap, Toasty Beats and Slightly Sizzled White, and "As She Walked Into the Room" from that period became a Zurich favorite.
Final Thoughts
"Desires Ignite" is a compact, groove-first house track from a producer with more than a decade of solo releases behind him. If your weekend playlist needs some minimal house heat, give it a spin.
