Does everyone lie? That's the question hanging over "Another Liar", the new song from Zulavay and the second track on her Halloween EP Ghosts Wear Glitter. It's a sharp little alt pop tune about deception, and it arrives just in time for spooky season.
Who Is Zulavay?
Zulavay is a singer-songwriter whose tagline says it all: "More myself than I've ever been." She has been on a serious release streak since mid-2025, with songs like "Parasite", "Smooth Operator", "Across the Street", "Touch", "Bed With Liars", "Used to It" and "Paper Throne". In September 2026 she released "Passenger Princess", a song she wrote about choosing the passenger seat after her own experience with driving. Earlier in the year, in February, she also put out the release "Dammit, I'm In Love With You", featuring songs like "Scared but I'm Lovin' It", "Honest" and "Another Love".
Fun detail: this isn't the first liar to show up in her catalogue. Back in January 2026 she released a single called "Bed With Liars".
The Idea Behind Another Liar
The concept is simple and a little bit wicked: a liar will always end up with another liar. As Zulavay puts it, sometimes lying is the same as cheating. It's a karma song at heart, and it doesn't hold back.
The lyrics point the finger at someone who is "so caught in getting ahead" that they forget about everyone else. There are "games of sin and lust" going on behind someone's back, and the narrator is pretty clear about who came off worse: "I swear she was better off". The payoff is the line that gives the song its title: "Your present is ending up with another liar". The outro hammers it home: "You're gonna / End up / With another / Liar".
A quick heads-up: the track is marked explicit on Spotify, so maybe not one for the family car.
Ghosts Wear Glitter
"Another Liar" sits in the middle of Ghosts Wear Glitter, between "Monsters" and "Evil". Those titles tell you exactly what kind of Halloween this is: less pumpkins and candy, more monsters, liars and bad behaviour. Tagged as alt pop and indie pop, it's a fun way to get into the Halloween mood without reaching for the usual seasonal playlist.
A Tip for Independent Artists
Releasing as often as Zulavay does takes a simple, reliable way to get your songs out. If you're an artist looking to do the same, DistroKid makes it easy to distribute your tracks to Spotify, Apple Music and the other major platforms, and this link gets you 7% off your membership.
